Furnished with a collection of lovingly chosen antiques

The Regency was built in 1806 by architect John White & Sons. Refurbished in 2015, it now provides generously proportioned accommodation for six people over two floors. The first floor comprises a lounge, dining room, breakfast kitchen, a large double bedroom and a shower room. Upstairs are two further bedrooms and a bathroom.

The dining room evokes a taste of Georgian opulence with its traditional red walls, rich furnishings and carefully chosen antiques. Centrepiece of the room is a mahogany table and chairs, set off by a huge mirror and sparkling chandelier. Accessories include crystal glasses and a decanter of sherry for guests to enjoy.

Dramatic views of John Carr's Devonshire Dome

Period features are a focal point of the spacious lounge, including an elegant marble fireplace and original polished floorboards. The room is furnished with comfy sofas and window seats, an Oriental rug and a well-stocked bookcase - as well as the latest audio-visual equipment. Elegantly-draped windows offer compelling views of the Devonshire Dome.

Light, airy and spacious, the kitchen is fully equipped with every modern convenience but has room to spare for an antique breakfast table and chairs. Its quiet location at the rear of the building offers intriguing roof-top views of the Georgian Crescent and ancient Old Hall - once home to Mary, Queen of Scots.

Composite stone worktops provide a generous space for home cooks, while a period breakfast table adds an authentic touch. Cookware and crockery are of the finest quality and cutlery is by Robert Welch.
